DANA RESEARCH CENTRE, LONDON

The Dana Research Centre and Library combines the museum's Research and Public History Department giving access to its library and archive collections.

We developed an integrated lighting scheme that enhances the architecture and ensures balanced, harmonious spaces throughout the day and night. A dynamic white lighting system transitions from cool to warm white, reflecting the shift from day to evening within the canopy layers. The DMX control system manages the dimming and color changes. The blend of natural and artificial light creates a glare-free environment with optimal visual interest, providing a welcoming, contemporary atmosphere for reading and displaying open shelving of printed materials.
